Perth is a very popular tourist destination and the accommodation available in the city
shows that it cares and caters for all tourists on different budget holidays. From up-
market hotels to happy hostels for the student set, Perth has it all. The smaller motels
and the bed and breakfast establishments cater for the families on holiday and the the
guests to the city who want great value for their money, as the standards in Perth are
exceptional. So once you know your budget and what you can afford to pay out for
accommodation, the next question is where in the city will you lay your head. If its in
the city centre or by the sea that you prefer, the choice is great and for a nice quiet
peaceful sleep at night, head for the fringes of the hills.
The city centre has the most accommodation available. The suburbs of Fremantle and
Scarborough also have lots of bed and breakfasts and hotels on offer.
The city centre would have its popular areas like Adelaide Terrace which is near the
Swan River, and is where a lot of the citys hotels are situated.
To the east of the central business area, many 4 star hotels are located as well as 2 and
3 star hotels that offer more quality accommodation at a price, but shop around as
there is great value out there.
North of the city has the shopping malls of Murray and Hay Street, which would have
lots of 2 and 3 star hotels nearby.
East of the central business district (about 2 km east) one will see the spectacular
Burswood International Resor Casino which is complete with a grand casino, lots of
restaurants, a golf course nearby and a theatre as well as an entertainment centre to
keep you busy enjoying yourself.
Adjacent to the beautiful Kings Park, which is on the east side of the city centre, has
hotels that offer great views of the Swan River.
